[ FAQ ]
What is the EiBi shortwave schedule?
EiBi is a widely used, community-maintained database of international shortwave broadcast schedules, listing the station, frequency, time, language, and target area for each transmission. This tool browses that data.
What time zone is the schedule in?
All broadcast times are shown in UTC, the standard reference for shortwave broadcasting. The live clock above shows the current UTC time so you can match it against the listings.
How do I find what is on shortwave right now?
Use "On Air Now" to list broadcasts transmitting at the current UTC time, then narrow the results by band, language, or station name to find exactly what you can hear.
Why can't I hear a station that is listed as on air?
This tool shows what is scheduled to transmit, not what your radio can currently pull in. Shortwave signals travel by bouncing off the ionosphere, so actual reception depends on time of day, solar conditions, distance from the transmitter, and your own antenna and receiver. A scheduled broadcast can still fade in and out or miss you entirely.
What do the broadcast days mean?
The days column shows when a transmission airs: daily, or only on certain weekdays. Many shortwave broadcasts run on specific days or during particular seasons, so a station may not be on every time you check.
What is a target area?
Broadcasters aim their signals at specific regions using directional antennas. The target column shows the intended listening area, though a strong signal is often audible well beyond it.
